There is not enough attention paid to the good deeds that happen in the technology business. Instead, we obsess over minor changes at Google or what Twitter will do to make money.  When I hear of a good deed that's happened in the Web and technology industries, it's good to mention it, as it may spur others to give back in any way they can. Plus, if you know how to work it, you can get some coverage for your company, too.
